In order to activate your MyFI account you need to complete a short activation form.
Currently only owners of active motor vehicle insurance policies, commercial vehicle insurance policies or home insurance policies can activate MyFI accounts.
Find your broker reference number
If you do not remember your Broker Reference Number, you can find it on any document sent to you by us.
The number is usually located in the top right corner of a document.
To activate your MyFI account you will need first 6 characters of your Broker Reference Number.
Please note that in some cases a digit 0 may look to you as the letter O, or a digit 1 like a letter L.
If your account activation is failing please check your Broker Reference Number again.
Enter your broker reference and date of birth
On the Account Activation page, please enter your Broker Reference Number and your Date of Birth.
Please ensure that you are entering the correct number and the number corresponds with your date of birth.
In the Date of Birth field you can either select your date of birth on a calendar or type it in.
Please remember that the required format for your date of birth is YYYY-MM-DD (year - month - day).
Set your MyFI account's password
Setting up a password for your MyFI account is the next step.
You need to type in your password in the left field, and then confirm it beside.
This is to ensure that your new password has not been mistyped.
We recommend that your password is of an unique combination of characters, letters and digits.
We also advise you not to use your broker reference, date of birth or personal details as a part of your password.
Finally, please do not share your new password with anybody.
Set your MyFI account's PIN
Setting up a PIN for your MyFI account is the last step on the account activation form.
You need to type in your PIN in the left field, and then confirm it beside.
This is to ensure that your new PIN has not been mistyped.
We recommend that your PIN is an unique combination of 6 digits.
We also advise you not to use your broker reference, date of birth or personal details as a part of your PIN.
You should not set your new PIN in a format of same or subsequential digits such as 444444, 224466 or 345678.
Finally, please do not share your new PIN with anybody.
Finishing account activation
Before hitting the 'Activate Account Now' button please check your form and ensure that all details are correct and corresponding with your account.
You also need to click and check ReCaptcha checkbox. This is a small security measure against unauthorized account activations.
If all is good, please click the button. On the successful account activation you will be redirected to a confirmation page.
After that you will receive a confirmation email from us with an One-Off Activation Code. The activation code is to ensure that you are the owner of the account.
The code will be required only once during your first login.
If some details do not match your account with us, you will be redirected to a different page. If your activation failed please try again.
